Our class will start Topic 4, Place Value: Numbers to 100. They will learn ways to count, compare, and order two-digit numbers. Here are the new math vocabulary: Greater than, less than, equal to, tens, ones.
They will learn to show how many tens and ones are in a number.
For example:
45 has 4 tens and 5 ones.
45 has 10, 10, 10, 10, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
They will also learn the greater than and less than symbols.
For example:
5>1
2<6
7=7
