About Me

My name is Carrie Reinking and I would like to welcome your child to Second Grade. This is my 6th year of teaching at Pleasant Hill Elementary, and my 7th year of teaching second grade. I am originally from Myrtle Creek, Oregon. I received my Master’s of Education degree in Teaching and Learning at the University of Oregon. I live with my husband Ryan and our miniature wiener dog AJ in Springfield, Oregon. I am currently six months pregnant with our son Noah. He is due December 19^th. Just so you are aware, I will be taking Christmas break to Spring break off. Shelby, who is currently Mrs. Wolpe’s substitute till Christmas break, will move down to my class after the break. She is very capable and I know the kids will love her. I will come by and visit.

I am looking forward to getting to know both you, and your child, these few months. These second grade students will achieve much this year in terms of academic growth, greater self-confidence, and improved social skills. Good communication between parent, teacher, and student is very important for your child’s academic growth.
